Introduced in the late 1970's, the Freightliner FLT is an old cabover semi. It was a popular choice for long-haul trucking due to it's sleeper cab, durability, and efficiency.
This mod sports several configuration options, listed below. Built upon a highly detailed model from OutlawTransport, RowCropSpecial completed in-gaming and 3D modelling of different configuration options.
I took the opportunity to explore some new modding techniques with this mod. First, I created my first-ever skinned mesh for the shifter boot. This allows for the boot to follow along with the shifter animation for added realism. Additionally, I followed suit of GIANTS and added cab suspension that follows the movement of the truck. Finally, I used procedural shading nodes in Blender to generate custom dirt maps for the entire truck.
Configurations
Engine: Cummins ISX15 (425 HP) or CAT C15 (595 HP). Eaton Fuller 18-speed transmission for both.
Visor: Four visor options, including two stock variations.
Horns: Add as many as four horns to the roof of the truck
Roof Lights: Add five stock roof lights to the roof of the truck
Fenders: Four different options from simple mudflaps to metal fenders.
Exhaust: Two different intake options and dual exhaust available.
Bumper: Three different bumper options depending on your style choice
